Jordan Schafer posted a goal in the 24th minute of play and Chris Kavinsky and the Tiger defense made it stand up as Doane came away with a 1-0 victory over Tabor College in men's soccer action on Wednesday evening. The win moved the Tigers' record to 3-3 heading into conference play. Kavinsky recorded five saves in the game for Doane while opposing goalie Aaron Schmucker picked up six. Doane out-shot the Bluejays 18-9 in the game while fouls went to Tabor as they committed 21 to the Tigers' seven.
Chris Hedgecock recorded an assists on Schafer's goal.

The Tigers will be at Fremont to take on Midland Lutheran College on September 16 at 4:00 PM. The game will be the GPAC opener for Doane.
