Tigers Even Record with Win

Jordan Schafer posted a goal in the 24th minute of play and Chris Kavinsky and the Tiger defense made it stand up as Doane came away with a 1-0 victory over Tabor College in men's soccer action on Wednesday evening.  The win moved the Tigers' record to 3-3 heading into conference play.

Kavinsky recorded five saves in the game for Doane while opposing goalie Aaron Schmucker picked up six.  Doane out-shot the Bluejays 18-9 in the game while fouls went to Tabor as they committed 21 to the Tigers' seven.

Chris Hedgecock recorded an assists on Schafer's goal.

Up Next:
The Tigers will be at Fremont to take on Midland Lutheran College on September 16 at 4:00 PM.  The game will be the GPAC opener for Doane.
