In a rough men's soccer game between Doane and Ottawa University, six yellow cards and four red cards where issued as the Tigers were victorious 3-2 in Ottawa, Kan., on Saturday evening. The win moved Doane to 2-3 on the year.
Doane out-shot the Braves 20-13 in the game. Doane keeper Chris Kavinsky posted two saves while Ottawa's two keepers combined for 11 saves.
The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead as three players scored for the Tigers. Kyle Smith struck first to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, Jace Peters scored off a pass from Sean Dougherty. Juan Padilla finished the scoring for the Tigers as he also scored off of a pass from Dougherty.
With Ottawa playing two players down, they were able to score twice in the final three minutes of play to close the gap.
