The Tiger volleyball team crushed York College, 3-0, in action on Saturday at the College of St. Mary Classic. Game scores were 25-11, 25-5, 25-9. Doane posted almost as many ace serves as they did kills in the match. The Tigers notched 21 ace serves while pounding out 34 kills. They set a school record for ace serves in a match.
Chelsee Marvin (Sr.; Crete, Neb.) also had a record breaking day, collecting 12 ace serves in the match and running off 14 consecutive points in game two. She also finished with eight kills on 12 attack attempts.
Nicole Skolnick (So.; Lincoln, Neb.) posted four ace serves while Megan Meduna (Fr.; Weston, Neb.) added three.
Ashley Sluka (Sr.; Milligan, Neb.) had a team-high 16 assists while Heather Davison (So.; Lincoln, Neb.) and Cassie Reicks (Fr.; Ravenna, Neb.) added five each.
Terra Andreasen (Fr.; Bellevue, Neb.) led the team with 10 kills. Lisa Lord (Fr.; Indianola, Neb.) posted five kills and three blocks for Doane. Natalie Hadden (Fr.; Bridgeport, Neb.) added three blocks as well.
