The Tiger volleyball team (5-1) suffered their first loss of the season, falling 3-2 to No. 20 Dordt College on Friday evening at the Red Raider Classic. The Tigers fell behind 2-0 before battling back to even the match only to fall in the final game. Game scores were 25-23, 25-15, 20-25, 21-25, 15-11.
Doane's offense was stifled at times during the match as they finished with a .149 attack percentage and 32 attack errors. Doane did finish with 60 team kills as three Tigers were in double figures.
Terra Andreasen (Fr.; Bellevue, Neb.) posted 17 kills to lead the way while collecting 20 digs and two blocks. Jessy Livers (Jr.; Lincoln, Neb.) notched 14 kills in the match while Chelsee Marvin (Sr.; Crete, Neb.) added 11. Marvin finished with three blocks.
The Tigers finished with seven team blocks, led by Ivie Speer's (Jr.; Central City, Neb.) four. Doane collected 97 digs in the match as Emily Schwisow (Jr.; Beatrice, Neb.) finished with 29. Amy Janky (Sr.; Chapman, Neb.) added 10 digs.
Ashley Sluka (Sr.; Milligan, Neb.) topped the distribution list, finishing with 28 set assists. Sluka led the team with three ace serves. Heather Davison (So.; Lincoln, Neb.) added 22 assists in the match.

The Tigers will face Valley City State University on Saturday, August 30, at the Red Raider Classic in Orange City, Iowa. Later in the day, Doane will face off against Waldorf College.
