Tiger Men 4th, Women 9th at Nationals

Doane College track and field athletes excelled at this year's NAIA National Meet held in Edwardsville, Illinois. As a team, the men finished fourth with 51 points while the women were ninth with 30.5 points. Azusa Pacific won the men's side with 61 points while Wayland Baptist took the women's side with 80 points.

Meagan Bauer led the women with a national championship in the pole vault. She was one of five All-Americans on the women's side. The 4x100m relay team claimed first place to pace the Tiger men. Doane came away with 18 All-American honors between the men and women.

School records were also set at the meet. Lance Foster set a record in the 400m dash with a time of 47.35 seconds. Jared Schuurmans set a record in the discus with a throw of 177-06 while fellow Norfolk, Nebraska, native Sufian Kimo broke the record in the 5000m run.
