Doane College, a nationally recognized liberal arts and sciences college in Crete, NE, invites applications for the position of Athletic Trainer. Doane College is a member of the GPAC conference, as a part of the NAIA that has 21 sports. This is a 10 month, full-time, permanent position.
This position reports to the Director of Sports Medicine as well as Athletic Coaches, the Athletic Director and the Chair of the Physical Education Department. Responsibilities will include independent coverage of assigned sports as well as cooperative coverage, documentation, evaluation and prevention. Additional duties include advising, teaching up to 8 credits per school year, supervision and designing of rehabilitation programs, supervision of student’s, supervision of the Athletic Training room during business hours, maintenance of equipment, usage of the ATS system, filling out insurance claims, paperwork and understanding Doane College’s Physical Education department curriculum. Minimal to some travel is required.
Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Athletic Training or related field, NATABOC Certified, Licensed in Nebraska to practice Athletic Training or Eligible, 1st Aid & CPR instructor certified or eligible, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, CSCS Preferred.
