Doane College Society

As chair of the Board of Trustees for Doane College, I am pleased to announce the establishment of The Doane College Society to honor those who make exceptional annual financial gifts to Doane College.

Certainly, Doane's history has been built by the passion and unselfish commitment of alumni, friends, faculty and staff for 136 years.  They nourish the fundamental spirit of Doane College.

For Doane to continue this vitality in the decades ahead, leadership giving as well as leadership action will be important.  The Doane College Society will provide greater recognition for monetary support as part of the passion and commitment that Doane inspires among its alumni and friends.  The new Society will honor donors who provide gifts of $1,000 or more, within a fiscal year, to the Doane Fund or to another institutional need.

Leadership giving at this level will help each of us ensure that Doane College advances -- making it a more effective, more vigorous liberal arts institution that continues to serve students according to its historic mission.

Looking ahead, new generations of talented high school students will be invited to invest their dreams in Doane College.  What they find at Doane will depend largely on our leadership gifts today.

Many of our alumni like me benefited from scholarships and other gifts from prior generations that helped us go to school.  We hope you will help us to pass this opportunity on to the next generation.
