Alumni Relations Office
The Alumni Office is responsible for planning events such as Homecoming, class reunions, summer reunions and area gatherings. It is also responsible for other programs including the Alumni Council, regional alumni chapters and class agents.
Anne Golden, Director of Alumni Relations
Anne returned home to her alma mater in 2009. The first day she stepped back on campus, memories immediately flooded back from her days at Doane. Anne's focus is to build off of those memories and connect alumni through events, recognition, and other relationship building occasions. Her goal is to help alumni find ways they can give back to the college through time, talent, or treasure while always spotlighting what is important to them and their time at Doane College. Anne is also an assistant coach with the Doane Forensics Team, molding some of the best speakers in the nation.

Jerry Wood, Vice President, Institutional Advancement and Marketing
Jerry joined Doane in 2009 with 25 years of experience in the world of higher education. Jerry leads Doane's development, alumni relations, and marketing and communications offices. Jerry's focus is working with the staff, President and trustees to secure needed resources and create positive connections to enhance Doane's reputation.

Lonelle Rathje, Associate Vice President for Advancement
Lonelle grew up in York, Nebraska and joined Doane in December, 2010. She brings 13 years of experience in higher education advancement, as well as research in fund development and educational leadership. She works closely with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Marketing to oversee advancement operations, develop Doane's annual-, major- and planned-gift strategies, manage the Doane College Society (DCS) and secure additional partnerships with individuals and organizations.

Dan Meyer, Director of Planned Giving Dan assists alumni and friends of Doane with annuity and estate planning. He is also the parent of two Doane graduates.

Rick Blessen, Director of Development Rick started at Doane in 2004. Rick works with Doane friends and alumni to ensure that Doane's annual fund needs are met, particularly through the phonathon.

Gerry Allen, Director of Foundation Relations
Gerry works with foundations and donors securing grants and other sources of funding to support faculty teaching and research, student scholarships, and college projects, to include expansion of programs and facilities. He has 23 years of experience at Doane as a member of the Lincoln campus faculty. He is the father of a Doane graduate.

Carol Bietz, Director of Advancement Data Services
Carol started at Doane in September 1993. Her duties include report compilation and computer conversion support. She is the mother of 3 future Doane students!!

Tomie Curry '08, Assistant Director of Development
Tomie has worked at Doane since February 2010. She works closely with annual giving, paying special attention to the Doane Fund through management of the Phonathon program, undergraduate giving campaigns and direct mail pieces. She also makes personal visits primarily with the young alumni and friends of the college.

Jennifer Jorgensen, Director of Advancement Operations Jennifer oversees all aspects of advancement's data operations. This includes gift processing, database management, research and government regulation and reporting standard compliancy. She has more than 10 years of operational experience and six years in non-profit and advancement. Jennifer received her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2010.

Joey Fikar, Support Staff Joey has worked at Doane since 1987. Joey works closely with the vice president for advancement in the daily functions of the Advancement Office, maintains schedules and manages work-study projects.

Janet Noddings, Support Staff
Janet has worked at Doane since 2008. Her main duties include: processing and maintaining records of all gifts and pledges, preparing of receipts and acknowledgments, and providing support in the local campaign.
