Doane campuses in Crete, Grand Island and Omaha will be closed on Monday, January 16 due to inclement weather and adverse driving conditions. No evening classes will be held. Lincoln campus will be closed until noon on Monday. Evening classes will take place. Any additional closings will be posted here as soon as they are announced.

The Alumni Senior Award is presented annually by the Doane University Alumni Association to a man and woman of the Lincoln Campus graduating class in recognition of superior performance in academic and extra curricular activities during their undergraduate careers.
Matt was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He graduated from Lincoln East High School in 1994 and began his path to a bachelor's degree at Doane in October of 1997.
The focus of Matt's career has involved the banking industry. Mortgage banking at Union Bank, loan underwriting and regional sales manager at Guaranty Bank, his own mortgage banking firm, and his current job in mortgage private banking at US Bank.
Matt has received numerous honors and awards including Top 10% Production Officer from 2010 to 2012 and the Governor's Award for Affordable Housing. His volunteer service and memberships include Upward Bound, Nebraska Sports Council, AHI volunteer, Paint-a-thon, Great Plains Trail Network, Knights of Columbus, Lincoln South Rotary, Mortgage Banker's Association, Nebraska Home Builders Association, and Lincoln Chamber of Commerce to name a few.
Matt graduated with a bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication in May 2012 and was inducted into Pinnacle, the Honor Society for nontraditional students. For his persistence and courage, dedication and achievements both in and out of the classroom, the Doane University Alumni Association presented him with the Lincoln Campus 2012 Alumni Senior Award.
