This course focuses primarily on financialyaccounting concepts and methods of analysisyapplicable to accounting for (1) partnerships; (2)ygovernmental and not-for-profit organizations; andy(3) a sampling of other accounting issues to beycovered as time allows (such as SEC reporting, andyinterim and segment reporting). Upon successfulycompletion of this course, students will recognizeythe ethical implications and understand theyprecise accounting terminology and rules andyprocedures related to partnerships, andygovernmental and not-for-profit organizations. Inyaddition, students will understand what reportingyrequirements apply to organizations that prepareyfinancial statements. Prerequisite: ACC 232 withya C- or higher or permission
