This course focuses primarily on financialyaccounting concepts and methods of analysisyapplicable to accounting for (1) combined,yconsolidated financial statements; and (2)ymultinational accounting issues (foreign currencyytransactions and financial instruments, andytranslation of foreign entity financialystatements). Upon successful completion of thisycourse, students will recognize the ethicalyimplications and understand the precise accountingyterminology and rules and procedures related toycombined and/or consolidated corporations. Inyaddition, students will recognize and account forytransactions with foreign countries that haveycurrencies other than U.S. dollars (foreignycurrency exchange rate differences), and be ableyto translate and/or restate financial statementsythat are denominated in currencies other than U.S.ydollars. Prerequisite: ACC 232 with a C- oryhigher, or permission
