Doane College is Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission
Following a 2011 comprehensive review and visit, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) approved Doane College for continued accreditation. The next comprehensive review and visit is set for the 2021-2022 academic year. Doane College has been accredited since 1913.
The 2011 HLC review team found that the college successfully presented evidence that it fulfills the five criteria for accreditation indicating that "The College is dedicated to student learning and effective teaching. Building upon a decade of growth and fiscal success, Doane has the capacity to prepare for the next decade."

In addition, the Nusring program at Doane College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), One Dupont Circle, NW Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036.
