New transfer students wishing to transfer to the Crete Campus please click on the link to take you to the Transfer Student Admission page. On this page are details about the admission requirements and processes.
Current Crete students wishing to take a transfer course should review the course equivalencies tab for transferability information and note the guidelines below.
~ Students may take summer courses without approval from the Dean, but need to complete the Approval For Study at Another Institution form available in the Registrar's Office.
~ Student may take courses at Doane Lincoln or Grand Island without the form noted above or approval.
FALL and SPRING TERM
~ Students wishing to take a course during the fall or spring term, including at Doane Lincoln, need to complete the Approval For Study at Another Institution form available in the Registrar's Office.
~ Students must get permission from the Dean.
IMPACT of TAKING TRANSFER COURSES
- Transfer students bringing in over 30 credits do not need to take LAR-101 Liberal Arts Seminar.
- Transfer students bringing in over 30 credits have a reduced Interterm requirement. The guidelines are:
31-60 transfer hours - 6 interterm requirements (3 with ITM prefix)
61-99 transfer hours - 3 interterm requirements (3 with ITM prefix)
- Students that transfer in two or more courses for the Doane Plan are not eligible to use the Pass/Fail option for any additional Doane Plan courses.
- Several honors given at graduation use hours completed at Doane as a requirement. Taking a lot of transfer courses may make student ineligible for these honors.
