Graphic & Logo Guidelines

Logo-ology Our Doane College logo is the most important visual element of our identity program. Our goal is to create a recognized and respected brand, so it's important that all members of our community use the logo consistently.           

No other graphic or logo may be used in conjunction with the Doane College logo unless approved by the Office of Strategic Communications.

Restrictions For Logo/College Seal Usage

• The official college seal (pyramid w/ female subject) is reserved only for official college use (a.k.a diplomas, presidential events etc.)
• The Doane College logo, which includes elements of the seal in the shield, is approved for wider use but must follow all brand/identity guidelines.

Logo Misuse

DO NOT vary from the established color palette and color tints.		DO NOT recreate, delete or move type around the shield.
DO NOT add or subtract from shield elements.		DO NOT vary the size or relationship between the type and the shield.
DO NOT vary the height or width by condensing or stretching the logo.

 

Primary Logos

THE TWO-COLOR LOGO is the preferred Doane College logo. Use this logo whenever color printing is available.  If color printing is not available, use the black and white logo.

 

THE BLACK LOGO can be used whenever two-color printing is not an option. 

DO NOT reproduce the logo where the shield is smaller than 5/16 of an inch. Measurements smaller than that result in legibility issues.

WHEN POSSIBLE, keep an area of space around the logo that is at least the height of the shield graphic.

 

Secondary Logos

THE STACKED VERSION is approved for use on the Web site, shirts, buildings and vehicle signage. Other uses may be approved.

The horizontal or stacked tiger logos should be used on all Doane College athletic materials.
