Residence Halls

Visitors can choose to stay in one of the many halls on campus available during workshops and conferences.

Each hall is within walking distance of the main buildings on campus and includes:

  • air conditioning
  • parking
  • computer labs (not available in Colonial)
  • wireless connection
  • washer/dryer facilities
  • common kitchen areas including a microwave and refrigerator

 

Sheldon Hall  can accommodate up to 136 people. This hall is a traditional setting which includes two common bathrooms on each floor.  Each room houses two people. A beautifully furnished lounge is located on the first floor which includes couches and a large screen television. Sheldon also has a workout room that includes a treadmill, elliptical, weight machine and hand weights. 

Frees Hall is a traditional setting which includes two common bathrooms on each floor.  Each room houses two people. Renovations in 2009 updated Frees with new air conditioning units, and all new interiors and fun spaces, such as a theater, pub-style lounges, Wii station, business and study centers, and a new barbeque patio. 

Hansen Hall is the newest Doane residence hall. Hansen can accommodate up to 168 people. Rooms are grouped around a central living space and can hold between 4-12 people per living unit. Guests staying in Hansen will share a common bathroom within their unit. A conference room is located in the basement that can be utilized by groups for meetings or evening gatherings. It is the only residence hall on campus that is handicapped accessible.

Burrage and Colonial Halls (a.k.a The Quads) are units that include four bedrooms, surrounding a common lounge area.  Each unit has a common bathroom and shared balcony.
