Grand Opening Check, $10,000, for Doane College Common Grounds
Presented to President Jonathan Brand from Student Congress!!! (September 2006)

Tyson Compton's Personal Project (2006-2007):

For my personal project I presented a proposal for new treadmill for the butler workout facility.  I presented the proposal to the RDs and their respective Hall Councils.  After review there was interest.  However, the college has allocated funds for the space to be renovated by this next school year.  The new facility would house multiple new treadmills and elliptical machines along with free weights and stationary bikes.  I also took the a leading role in the LB 32 project in conjunction with UNL's ASUN.  The outcome is still pending.  Doane provide nearly 300 of the 1000 signatures in support of the bill to be passed.  Signatures of support were giving by students then sent to there respective hometown State Senators.

Laurel Wegner's Personal Project (2006-2007):

My project this year was to put a Change Machine in the basement of Hansen Hall.  Tomie and I are also on a joint Food Committee - we hold meetings with John Hine and get students' imput on the food services.

India Williams' Personal Project (2006-2007):

As a senior I decided to take on a larger more challenging personal project. I'm in the process of working with Residence Life and the Maintenance Staff to widen the parking slots in Smith Hall. It has even been suggested to expand the parking slots in the Horseshoe parking lot behind Burrage Hall. If it were not for the student body's  complaints, this problem probably would not have been addressed

Rudi Molet's Personal Project (2006-2007):

As a Student Congress Senator I would like to inform you that I decided to create a Personalized Student Congress Website pager that would be connected to the Doane College website. On this website I have provided this information: Names of all the Student Congress executive board and the Student Congress Senators. Each member of student congress has their own individualized biography and picture. It tells their name, year, and hometown, major and extracurricular activities/clubs. Furthermore, I have placed important pieces of the constitution throughout the website. For example, what Student Congress represents, what are the requirements for running, and what is the roles of each Student Congress position. Lastly, I have included a page that contains the e-mail where Student Congress can be contacted, a Photo Album of Student Congress Activities, and finally a Personal Project page which tells what each member chose to do for their personal project.

Bailey Heafer's Personal Project (2006-2007):

Providing the students with absentee ballots.

MORE PROJECTS TO BE COMING SOON!!!
