The Doane Forensics Team
In 2006, 12 members of the Doane forensics team placed 21st out of 122 schools attending the American Forensics Association's National Individual Events Tournament at the University of Florida-Gainesville - the most elite forensics tournament in the nation.
- Cassy Blakely of Lawrence was a quarter-finalist in persuasive speaking
- Kiley Mackie of Scottsbluff was ranked 26th in communication analysis
- Abi Mihel of North Platte was elected to the All-America Team made up of 12 forensics competitors nationwide
The Forensics Team is a competitive speech group that meets once each week for practice, planning and preparation.
