Students for Change

We are so excited that you are showing interest in Students for Change. We are an organization that mainly focuses on the betterment and education of minorities across Doane College. Academics, Achievement, and Leadership are our three principles. These principles were developed to change the perception of all minorities on campus. We pride ourselves on taking these three principles and becoming the best students, friends, and leaders we can be. As you will notice, the population of minorities is small. Because of such low numbers, the importance and presence of Students for Change is vital for Doane's campus. One of our goals is to improve diversity, all while making your college experience memorable. We will improve the minority student population on our campus in several ways: pushing for academic excellence, encouraging unity by means of association, encouraging leadership, and spreading cultural awareness.

This year we will have a great blend of leadership, which will allow us to accomplish our goals. Although SFC's Executive Board will be active on campus and in the community, we also encourage you to become involved with community services, other organizations and include yourself in academic programs, social gatherings, and fundraising events across campus.

Ultimately, the goal of SFC is to develop well-rounded individuals who can collaborate and network with people beyond racial and/or cultural barriers. Once again we would like to reiterate the fact that we are truly appreciative of your efforts. We look forward to seeing you at our meetings.
