NSTA was chartered to promote excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all. It provides a network for pre-service science teacher, encouraging professional development. This organization is open to any students interested in teaching science.
National Society of Pershing Rifles
A military social and service organization established to promote professionalism and leadership, through drill, ceremony and fellowship. A national chain of command is established in order to improve proficiency and knowledge of individual and team drill, as well as building morale, self esteem, and lifelong relationships among fellow Pershing Rifles members.

Omega Psi Theta - Sorority
Loyalty, friendship, trust, and respect among the sisters of Omega Psi Theta are nurtured through service events, work projects, and social activities. Founded in 1917, Omega Psi Theta encourages individual involvement and personal growth of all its members, and service to the college and community. The group’s colors are blue and gold. Their symbol is the wheel, and their flower is the sweet pea. Qualification for membership is a 2.0 GPA, in addition to a mutual acceptance between eligible women and active members of the sorority.

The Doane Owl (Doane College Newspaper)
Doane College is the home of Nebraska’s oldest college newspaper, The Doane Owl. The Owl is a weekly paper published by students and distributed to the Doane community. Opportunities include feature writing, world news commentary, sports reporting, advertising, photography, production, and graphic design. Paid positions are available. Students may receive academic credit. Any Doane student is welcome to join.
