Important Housing Dates
FALL SEMESTER 2007
August
25 Residence halls open for new students (8 a.m.)
27 Residence halls open for returning students (noon)
29 Fall classes begin
September
End of Room freeze Meetings are being held on the following dates and times at the Perry Board Room:
- Tuesday Sept. 11: 5:30 PM
- Wednesday Sept. 12: 9:30 PM
- Thursday Sept. 13 at 12:30 PM or 9:30 PM
October
November
21-25 Thanksgiving recess begins after last class on the 21st.* (see note below)
21 Residence halls close at 9 a.m. and reopen on Nov. 25 at noon
26 Classes resume
December
10-14 Final exams
14 Mid-year break begins after last exam on the 14th (Students must checkout within 24 hours after their last final
INTERTERM 2008
January
6 Residence halls open at noon for students registered for interterm
SPRING SEMESTER 2008
29 Residence halls open at noon for students not enrolled in interterm
February
March
15-24 Spring Break (begins after last class on the 14th). Residence halls close at 9 a.m. on the 15th and open at noon on the 24th* (see note below)
25 Classes resume
April
Housing preferencing begins for 2008-2009. Look for posted dates and times. Only students pre-registered with no business holds/academic holds can preference.
May
12-15 Final Examinations (students must checkout within 24 hours after their last final)*(see note below)
19 Residence Halls close at noon for graduating seniors
* Students meeting an exception may remain on campus during Thanksgiving and spring breaks. Further information will be sent out to students as the break nears. Students must send information requesting to remain on campus and will be notified if they meet an exception.
*Students meeting exceptions to remain on campus during graduation weekend will receive notice that they are approved to stay until May 19th. Students do not need to request for this exception, advisors from the students' organization will contact our staff and we will notify you of your approval.
