The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced their 2008 Softball Scholar-Athletes today and three Doane College Tigers received the honor for the this year.
Tiger seniors Amy Hamik, Stephanie Mosley and Megan Steele were on the group of 116 for this year's honorees.
Hamik, a Lincoln native, was a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen bases this year and finished with 23 runs scored.
Mosley, a native of Lincoln, led the team with a .358 batting average, 11 doubles and 33 runs scored.
Steele, a Fairbury native, was second on the team with nine wins and a 3.66 earned run average.
