Three Tigers were named to the 2008 GPAC All-Conference First Team this week.  Kristin Schmidt was one of six players named as an infielder, Stephanie Mosley was one of five outfielders and Joy Vasa was the only utility player selected to the First Team.  Whitney Poole was named Second Team All-GPAC in the outfield while Amber Remmers and Alyssa Ledon received honorable mention honors.  Below is a recap of each player's 2008 season.

Alyssa Ledon (Las Vegas, Nev.) was solid defensively behind the plate, throwing out 10 of 23 base runners attempting to steal a base.  Ledon also batted .283 with 20 RBIs.

Stephanie Mosley (Lincoln, Neb.) led the team with a .358 batting average, 11 doubles and 33 runs scored.  Mosley was second on the team with 44 hits and six home runs while adding 25 RBIs.

Whitney Poole (Martell, Neb.) led the Tigers with 26 stolen bases and 51 base hits while sitting second in average with a .349 mark.  She tied Mosley for the team lead in runs scored with 33.

Amber Remmers (Wahoo, Neb.) hit .284 for the Tigers and was second on the team with 12 stolen bases.  She finished with a team-high 107 defensive assists.

Kristin Schmidt (Nevada City, Calif.) led the Tigers with eight home runs and 32 RBIs.  She batted .344 on the year and posted a team-high .631 slugging percentage.

Joy Vasa (Lincoln, Neb.) led the Tigers on the mound with 10 wins and a 2.18 earned run average.  She batted .327 while posting 100 defensive assists.
