Despite 28 turnovers, Doane never trailed to the University of Sioux Falls as they came away with a 62-52 victory in the First Round of the GPAC Tournament. The Tigers shot 40 percent from the floor while limiting USF to 31 percent, including 17 percent from three-point range on 24 attempts. Jackie Knievel paced Doane with 13 points and 10 rebounds, seven on the offensive end. Lindsay Anderson added 13 points and three assists. During the game, Anderson moved into fifth all-time on the Doane scoring charts. Jamie Jensen matched Anderson with a team-high three assists.
Sioux Falls was led by Morgan Campbell's 15 points and nine rebounds. USF collected 17 steals in the game, led by Jacey Olsen's four.
Doane out-rebounded Sioux Falls 50-34. The Tigers used a 9-0 run late in the game to pull away for the victory. They led 34-23 at halftime after shooting 48 percent in the first frame.
