Doane/Waldorf Stats 

Doane dropped the season-opener in women's basketball, falling to Waldorf College 74-64 on Friday evening.  The Tigers were out-shot at the free throw line 31 attempts to eight.  Waldorf scored 20 points more than Doane from the charity stripe.

Tied at 35 going into halftime, the two teams battled back and forth until Waldorf went on a 12-0 run over a five minute stretch.  During that stretch, the Tigers were 0-of-6 from the floor with three turnovers.  Doane finished with 17 turnovers for the game while Waldorf had 20.

Lindsay Anderson led all scorers, posting a career-high 29 points on 11-of-24 shooting.  She was 4-of-6 behind the three-point arc.  Alissa Holland added 14 points and seven rebounds as she inches closer to the 1,000-point club.  Rudi Molet came off the bench to add eight points and four rebounds, including a game-high three on the offensive end.

Waldorf had a balanced attack as five players finished in double-digits, including two off the bench.  Milica Kovacevic finished with a team-high 17 points.

Up Next
Doane will travel to Wisconsin to take on Viterbo University on Saturday afternoon.
