Program Overview
This degree program is specifically designed for nontraditional students seeking a bachelor's degree for career advancement and personal growth. It allows students who have completed an associate's degree to earn their bachelor's degree in a timely manner. The program of study provides a curriculum focusing on the development of critical and analytical skills, oral and written communication skills, and a strong liberal arts component to balance the technical knowledge acquired through the associate's degree.

This degree program is composed of the following:
      1.  Required Curriculum = 75 credits
      2.  Electives = 57 credits

       Philosophy/Religion (one approved course)

B.  Contemporary Issues
       Political Science (one approved course)
       Economics (one approved course)
       Psychology/Sociology (one approved course)

C.  Cultural Perspectives  (one approved course)

D.  Natural Science (Two approved courses)
      One lab science and one non-lab, or two lab science

E.  Quantitative Methods - (two courses)

  • BUS 215 Applied Statistics
  • One MTH prefixed course numbered above 100

F.  Communication

  • Oral Communication - (three courses)
    CMS  210   Public Speaking  
    CMS 220    Interpersonal Communications 
    CMS 316    Business & Professional Communication
  • Written Communication - (three courses)

G.  Aesthetic Perspective - (two approved courses)

I.  Liberal Learning
    15 credits of 300/400 level coursework in at least TWO DIFFERENT
    disciplines.

J.  Basic Skills Requirements
     Math:
 MTH 090 or completion of the Math Competency Exam
    Computer Science:  CSA 101 and one other CSA course
    Writing Skills:  DLC 116 Writing Skills or diagnosed competency
