All students attending Doane in the 2010-2011 academic year must sign new promissory notes for their Stafford Loans.
This can be done electronically at www.studentloans.gov. (You'll need your Federal PIN number to access the site.)
Why the extra step? This fall Doane will change from a bank-based student loan program to the Federal Direct Student Loan Program as a result of H.R. 4872, The Health Care and Education Affordability Reconsiliation Act of 2010.
Please complete your new promissory note, as Doane will not award loans for 2010-11 until this has been completed.
