Desired Student Outcomes of Learning Communities
When developing learning community opportunities for our students, it is important to incorporate experiences that will lead to the desired outcomes.
The desired student outcomes of learning communities are:
increase student engagement through unique learning environments and experiences
increase student integration of learning by promoting interdisciplinary learning through the liberal arts
increase the depth of student learning through experiences requiring the application of knowlege
increase student connectedness to Doane by providing a unique and stimulating Doane experience
CETL provides resources and activities to assist in incorporating any or all of these desired outcomes into your learning community.
CETL's mission is to serve as a catalyst for service-learning, aesthetic, and liberal education at Doane.
