The Master of Arts in Management (MAM) is an interdisciplinary program that understands the needs of working adults. The MAM program focuses on applied learning which provides practical experience students use in their professional careers and promotes the development of students as both leaders and managers.
We keep class sizes small so our students receive the personalized attention they deserve. The average MAM class consists of 15-20 students.
The Master of Arts in Management degree places organizational leadership in a liberal arts context. Its coursework applies to a variety of organizations, including:
- corporations
- hospitals
- churches
- museums
- schools
- private or public social service organizations.
After completion of the Master of Arts in Management program, students will:
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with others
- Apply economic, financial, and managerial theories to meet organizational goals
- Develop skills of leadership that apply to either for-profit or nonprofit organizations
- Present and implement solutions to address business problems.
All courses for the Master of Arts in Management program are offered on the Doane College Lincoln campus located at 303 North 52nd Street in the Fred D. Brown Building.
Scheduling Information
The format of the Master of Arts in Management program also provides students with flexibility. Students may now select from one of four curriculum options. Each option allows students to customize their learning experience. The emphasis option allows students to earn a specialization in Leadership or International Business.
Option I: Non-thesis program without an emphasis - 42 credit hours
Option II: Non-thesis program with an emphasis - 42 credit hours
Option III: Thesis option without an emphasis - 39 credit hours
Option IV: Thesis option with an emphasis - 45 credit hours
