Head Coach Duane Johnson took over the Tiger women's soccer program in December 2006. He is also the head coach for Lincoln Southeast High School and led the team to the 2007 NSAA State Tournament.
Johnson is very familiar to Doane College and Tiger soccer. His son, Cory, graduated from Doane in 2005 and was a member of the men's soccer team. His daughter, Linnie, is a member of the women's team and will graduate in 2008.
He got his start in coaching in 1988 when he began working with Lincoln area youths. In 1997-98, Johnson was named Coach-of-the-Year by the Nebraska State Soccer Association (NSSA). From 1998-2002 he was Director of Coaching for the Lincoln Spirit Soccer Club. In 2000, he joined Lincoln Southeast H.S. as an assistant and eventually took over the junior varsity program in 2001 and became the varsity's head coach in 2004.
Duane lives in Lincoln with his wife, Suzy. In addition to Cory and Linnie, he has another daughter, Aubree, who is the oldest.
