The Tiger volleyball team dropped their first match of the season in the second match of the Red Raider Classic. Doane fell to No. 4 Lee University on Friday afternoon in three sets. Game scores were 25-22, 25-20, 25-15. For the match, Doane hit .226 as they posted 37 kills on 106 attacks. Ashley Axmann led the Tigers with 11 kills, while Emily Max posted seven kills. Heather Davison added six kills and Kellie Peterson finished with five. Davisonled the way with 22 set assists and Cassie Reicks finished with four.
Davison also led the team in digs with 10 while Terra Andreasen and Nikki Degenhardt each posted seven. At the net, Davison had one solo block while Andreasen and Emily Max each recorded one assist block.
Arlene Ferreira led Lee University with 14 kills while teammate Christa Higdon recorded 11 kills. Kayla Carlisle posted one solo block and three assisted blocks, while Ferreira had three assisted blocks. Lee was led by Kelsey Leffew with 22 set assist while Gretchen Higdon had 15 set assists.
