Siske Takes GPAC Honors Again

(GPAC Release) - The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's and women's tennis player-of-the-week for the week of April 12 - April 18, 2010. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Tennis Player-of-the-Week
Men's Tennis - Josh Siske, Doane
Doane's Josh Siske is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week. Siske, a senior from Ralston, Nebraska, did not lose a set on the week for the Tigers as he went 3-0 in both singles and doubles play. He is currently riding a seven match win streak at the number two singles position. His number one doubles partner is Ross Schulenberg. The Tigers posted wins over Midland Lutheran, Briar Cliff, and Simpson to improve to 5-7 on the season.

Women's Tennis - Kellie Korver, Northwestern
Northwestern's Kellie Korver is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week. Korver, a freshman from Pella, Iowa, posted a perfect 3-0 number four singles and number two doubles record last week for the Red Raiders. Northwestern went 2-1 in league play with wins over Midland Lutheran and Doane, with a loss to Concordia. She did not drop a set in any of her matches and posted an impressive 36-7 games record for the week. Her doubles partner is Jessica Pomerenke.
