The Tiger men's tennis team had a schedule change on Saturday morning due to the snow and ice that had arrived on Friday. Doane was scheduled to take on Simpson College but they were unable to make the trip in which they were going to face both the Tigers and Concordia University. To replace the match, Doane and Concordia faced off in a non-conference match at the Bulldogs new indoor facility. The Bulldogs defeated the Tigers, 8-1, and Doane fell to 0-2.
Ross Schulenburg fell at No. 1 singles to Jeremy Jank, 6-3, 6-2. Josh Siske won the first match of the season for the Tigers, taking No. 2 singles over Jon Schleicher in a tie-breaker, 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8). Josh Johnson fell at No. 3 singles to Scott Schlesinger, 6-0, 6-0.
At No. 4 singles, Jake Zlatkovsky lost to Ryan Duerr, 6-3, 6-0. Tony Bieck dropped his No. 5 singles match to Cole Egger, 6-0, 6-1. Aaron Haag was defeated at No. 6 singles by Tim Meyer, 6-1, 6-1.
Schulenburg and Siske fell in a tie-breaker at No. 1 doubles to Jank and Schleicher, 9-8 (7-1). Johnson and Zlatkovsky fell at No. 2 doubles to Schlesinger and Danny Frastaci, 8-1. Bieck and Haag lost to Egger and Kyle Kaldahl in No. 3 doubles, 8-4.
