Field Events - Jared Schuurmans, Doane
Doane's Jared Schuurmans is the field athlete-of-the-week. Schuurmans, a senior from Norfolk, Nebraska, won the shot put in the Wichita State Shocker Quad on Saturday. His throw was 55-11 and that ranks second in the NAIA. He also placed sixth in the weight throw with a throw of 51-10.
Track Events - Zach Meineke, Concordia
Concordia's Zach Meineke is the track athlete-of-the-week. Meineke, a senior from Denver, Colorado, posted a time of 8:24.37 in the Special Invite 3000 at the Husker Invite. The time ranks number one in the NAIA and GPAC.
