(GPAC Release) Nebraska Wesleyan with 130 points and six First Place votes is the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) baseball coaches' choice to win the 2010 league title. The Prairie Wolves, champions of the GPAC regular season last spring, posted a 28-13 record in 2009 (18-6 in the GPAC). Dakota Wesleyan, who claimed the GPAC post-season title, is picked second with 112 points. Briar Cliff, who totaled three First Place votes, is tabbed third with 111 points. Morningside took three First Place votes and is picked fourth with 109, while Doane took the final First Place vote in the balloting. The GPAC baseball season will once again consist of 24 games (12 doubleheaders) and conclude with the GPAC Postseason Tournament on May 6-8 in Mitchell, South Dakota, at Cadwell Park and Drake Field.
Points were assigned on a 12-1 basis and coaches' could not vote for their own team.
