The Tiger women's basketball team saw their winning streak snapped as they fell to Morningside College, 96-52. The Tigers committed 33 turnovers and shot 38.6-percent from the floor. The Mustangs jumped out to a 46-22 lead at halftime by converting Doane turnovers into points. Morningside out-scored the Tigers 27-0 off of turnovers. For the game, the Mustangs posted a 49-8 advantage.
Morningside closed the first half on a 16-2 run, capped by a three-point basket from Tanaeya Worden at the buzzer.
The second half also went to Morningside as they put together a 24-8 run in the middle of the half to build their lead to 44 points.
Two players finished in double-figures for the Tigers. Vanessa Munter finished with 17 points to lead the Tigers and Nicole Skolnick posted her first career double-double with 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
Worden led all scorers with 19 points for the Mustangs. In total, 13 players scored for Morningside.
