The Doane men's track & field team hit 10 NAIA qualifying marks, three automatics, on Friday evening at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational.
In the pole vault, Nathan Teten hit an automatic mark of 4.75m (15-07.00). His mark tied for first place but he finished fifth based on vault attempts. Whit Thomas hit a provisional mark of 4.60m (15-01.00). He placed ninth in the meet.
Jared Schuurmans threw for an automatic mark in the shot put. He posted a throw of 16.86m (55-03.75).
Four marks were hit in the weight throw. Jake Eckhardt hit an automatic mark with a throw of 16.16m (53-00.25). He placed seventh in the meet. Three provisional marks were also reached. Alvin Voss posted a throw of 15.84m (51-11.75), Zack Lindsley threw 15.68m (51-05.50) and Jacob Clouse finished with a throw of 15.62m (51-03.00). They took ninth through eleventh, respectively.
Adam Bosley hit provisional marks on his way to a third place finish in the 60m dash. In the finals, he posted his best time of 6.96 seconds. In the prelims, he ran a time of 7.00 seconds.
Paul Garcia notched a provisional mark in the mile run with a time of 4:22.70. He placed fifth in the event.
In the 5000m run, Sufian (Kimo) Kalil posted a provisional mark of 15:22.40. He finished second overall.
