The Doane women's track & field team put together a solid effort on Friday evening in Lincoln as they participated in the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational. The Tigers finished with two automatic NAIA qualifying marks and four provisional marks.
Whitney Collins hit an automatic mark in the weight throw with a toss of 16.25m (53-03.75). Collins also notched a provisional mark in the shot put with a throw of 12.62m (41-05.00).
The women's 4x400m relay team hit an automatic mark with a time of 4:02.95. The team consisted of Amanda Woodward, Amanda Kermoade, Jillian Ourada and Blair Dixon.
Deejay Silcott posted a provisional mark in the 60m dash with a time of 7.86 seconds in the prelims. She placed third overall with a run of 7.89 in the finals.
In the 400m dash, Blair Dixon hit a provisional mark. Dixon placed second overall with a time of 59.68 seconds.
Jillian Ourada finished fifth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.31 seconds, a provisional mark.
The Tigers will host the Scott Nisely Memorial Track Classic on January 30.
