Track Events - Viviana Arreola, Doane
Doane's Viviana Arreola is the track athlete-of-the-week. Arreola, a senior from El Paso, Texas, posted a personal best time in the 5,000 meters at the Nebraska Holiday Inn Open. Her NAIA qualifying time was 18:24.78. The time is the best in the GPAC and ranks her sixth in the NAIA.
Field Events - Tierra Hubbard, Concordia
Concordia's Tierra Hubbard is the field athlete-of-the-week. Hubbard, a junior from Roanoke, Virginia, won the weight throw at the Doane Field Plus Open. Her toss in the event was 54-9.25. The mark set a new Concordia school record and qualifies her for the NAIA National Championships in Johnson City, Tennessee.
