The Tiger track & field program traveled up the road on Friday and Saturday to participate in the Holiday Inn Invitational hosted by Nebraska-Lincoln.  Over the two days, Doane athletes hit one automatic qualifying mark and five provisional marks while winning one event.

The lone automatic mark came from Viviana Arreola in the 5000m run.  She posted a time of 18:24.78, currently the sixth best time in the NAIA.

Hitting provisional marks were three women individually along with the men's and women's distance medley relay teams.

Jillian Ourada, sitting 14th heading into the two rounds of finals posted a time of 9.39 second and placed seventh.

Katie Bartels, already automatically qualified in the high jump, posted a provisional mark of 1.64m (5-04.50) and placed fifth in the seeded high jump.

Leah Petersen hit the provisional mark again in the pole vault, going 3.30m (10-10.00) and placed 10th in the seeded event.

The women's distance medley relay (DMR) team consisted of Lizzie Kolbo, Amanda Woodward, Jessica Driewer and Ourada.  They posted a time of 12:58.41 to place fifth with their provisional mark.

The men's DMR team featured Scott Ohlson, Omar Fernandez, Jamil Chehade and Sufian Kimo.  They ran a provisional time of 10:28.28.

The lone event winner was Ethan Shunkwiller in the unseeded pole vault.  He posted a height of 4.45m (14-07.25) and with the win advanced to the seeded portion of the event but finished without a mark.
