The Doane women's cross country team was represented at the NAIA National Championship meet this year by two individual, Viviana Arreola and Yadira Salazar. The two women earned their spots at the national meet with their performance in the GPAC Championships.
Arreola placed 84th at the meet with a time of 19:44. Salazar finished 238th overall with a time of 20:58.
On Friday, the NAIA announced the 2009 NAIA Scholar-Athlete recipients and Alex Conrin was recognized for Doane. The senior from Plattsmouth holds a grade point average over 3.50.
