Defense in the first half forced 19 turnovers and led Doane to a 77-58 victory over South Dakota Tech on Saturday afternoon. In the end, the Tigers forced 30 turnovers as they improved to 4-1 on the year.
Lindsay Anderson and Nicole Anderson collected 14 points apiece. Nicole added eight rebounds. Cheryl Braithwait added 11 points. Amy Fox chipped in nine points and nine rebounds.
For the game, Doane shot 42-percent from the floor while Tech hit on 32-percent of their shot attempts.
Tech was led by Jerika Ihnen and Bethany Holyoak's 13 points apiece.
