The Doane Tiger men's cross country team recorded a third place finish at the NAIA Mid-States Classic on Saturday and the strong showing allowed the squad to move up two spots in this week's NAIA Top 25. The Tigers are ranked No. 23 with 162 points.
Doane is one of two GPAC teams in the Top 25, Concordia is ranked No. 7. The Tigers will take this upcoming weekend off as they prepare for the GPAC Championship in Hastings on November 7. Hastings College is receiving votes in the poll.
The Tigers saw two teams move into the poll ahead of them this week, one being Oklahoma Christian (ranked No. 22) who topped Doane last weekend by one point. However, the Tigers finished ahead of Oklahoma Baptist, forcing OBU out of the Top 25.
