The women's golf team traveled to Council Bluffs to participate in the Lady Reiver Fall Classic. Doane took nine players to the meet, splitting into two teams. The "A" team finished seventh with a team round of 393. The "B" team finished ninth with a 484. Northwestern College won the meet with a round of 348.
Shea Henderson posted the lowest score of the day for Doane, shooting a 91 (45-46) to finish tied for 17th. McKenzie Roach posted a 97 (48-49) and tied for 26th. Megan Rotherham shot a 101 (47-54) and tied for 32nd. Brittany Sampy notched a 104 (50-54) and tied for 34th. Megan Redman rounded out the "A" team by shooting a 112 (57-56) and tied for 40th.
Catie McLey posted the low score for the "B" squad, tying for 40th with a round of 112 (56-56). Melisa Dalton shot a 118 (63-55) and tied for 44th. Patricia Lueck also shot a 118 (61-57). Loria Lei Thunker rounded out the scoring for the "B" squad with a 136 (70-66) and 48th place finish.
Coach Jeannine Foster was pleased with the first tournaments results.

The Tigers will participate in the GPAC Qualifier on September 15 in Sioux City, Iowa. A new format begins this year with the conference champion qualifying directly to the NAIA National Championship meet. The GPAC will hold four qualifying meets, two at northern schools and two at southern schools with the overall champion coming from the combinations of the four meets.
