Doane College Head Basketball Coach Tracee Fairbanks announced the addition of Andrea Schaaf to her 2008 recruit class. Schaaf, a native of Stuart, Neb., was a member of the Stuart High School squad this past year. Schaaf finished a strong senior season, averaging 11 points and earning Second Team All-State honors from the Lincoln Journal Star and honorable mention from the Associated Press and Omaha World Herald.
Andrea's career continued to improve each year as she was named honorable mention All-State her sophomore and juniors seasons. She was named First Team All-Niobrara Valley Conference the past three years and was selected to a couple of All-Star games for this summer.
Andrea is the daughter of Gerry & Jill Schaaf.
Doane College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). Doane is a four-year liberal arts college located in Crete, Nebraska, and offers 39 areas of study along with seven pre-professional programs.
