Article Body
Two Doane College student-athletes were named to this year's ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Team for women's track and field/cross country in the college division.  The Academic All-American team will be released in late June.  Earning First Team All-District 7 for the second year in a row was Meagan Bauer while Erin Fogarty was a first time honoree, receiving Second Team All-District honors.  The Doane women have placed six student-athletes on the All-District teams the past two years.

Bauer, a senior from Gering, was a seven-time NAIA All-American at Doane after winning the pole vault at the NAIA Outdoor National Track & Field meet in late May.  She is also a five-time runner-up in the pole vault.  She graduated with a 4.00 grade point average in mathematics and secondary education.  This past season, she earned All-Conference honors, winning the pole vault during the indoor and outdoor seasons.  She holds the school record for both seasons as well.  Bauer was a member of Cardinal Key and Sigma Delta Pi while being named to the Dean's List.  She was an NAIA & GPAC Scholar-Athlete in 2008 and was named a First Team Academic All-American by ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA in 2007.

Fogarty, a senior from Omaha, was a three-time NAIA All-American for the Tigers in two years at Doane.  Fogarty was an All-Conference performer for the Tigers and an NAIA & GPAC Scholar-Athlete.  She has been very active in community service, assisting with children's Christmas parties in the Omaha area and helping with the Red Cross.  She graduated with a 3.88 grade point average in psychology.  She was recently named to the National Honor Society for Psychology.
