The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced their 2008 Women's Track & Field Scholar-Athletes and 11 Doane College Tigers received the honor for the this year, an NAIA high.
Six Tiger seniors and five juniors highlighted this year's list.
The seniors who received the honor for the second time are Meagan Bauer (Gering, Neb.), Elizabeth Prigge (David City, Neb.), Lindsey Wallman (Seward, Neb.), Ashley Welton (Malmo, Neb.) and Kelcey Zutavern (Dunning, Neb.). Erin Fogarty (Omaha, Neb.) receives the honor for the first time due to a transfer rule.
Five juniors received the honor for the first time and they are Haley Bergstrom (David City, Neb.), Regan Carlstrom (St. Edward, Neb.), Rachael Romshek (Granby, Colo.), Abby Schlueter (Beatrice, Neb.) and Carly Weisgerber (Alliance, Neb.).
