Frerking Named NAIA Scholar-Athlete

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced their 2008 Women's Tennis Scholar-Athletes and one Doane College Tiger received the honor for the this year.

Tiger junior Angela Frerking receives the honor for the first time.  To be named a scholar-athlete, a student must hold a 3.50 grade point average minimum and be of junior academic status.  Frerking, a native of Beatrice, played No. 4 singles much of the year for the Tigers while teaming up to play No. 2 doubles.

Doane College is coached by Amber Gilliam.
