Doane College Head Basketball Coach Tracee Fairbanks announced the addition of Amy Hoefer to her 2008 recruit class. Hoefer, a native of Omaha, Neb., was a member of the Omaha North High School squad this past year. Hoefer was a letter winner the past two years and was selected to play in the Boys & Girls Club Metro All-Star game.
She also excels academically, earning a spot on the honor roll for four years as well as being an academic letter winner. Hoefer was recently named an All-Metro Scholar-Athlete.
Amy is the daughter of Carey & Melony Hoefer.
Doane College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). Doane is a four-year liberal arts college located in Crete, Nebraska, and offers 39 areas of study along with seven pre-professional programs.
