Doane College Head Volleyball Coach Cindy Meyer announced the addition of Megan Stansberry to her 2008 recruit class.  Stansberry, a native of Fremont, Neb., was a member of the Bancroft-Rosalie High School volleyball squad this past year.

Stansberry helped the Panthers to a Class D1 state championship in volleyball and basketball her senior season.  Her efforts at both state tournaments earned her all-tournament team accolades.  She earned Second Team All-State honors from the Associated Press and Lincoln Journal Star while grabbing honorable mention honors from the Omaha World Herald.

Academically, she is an honor roll student and was named Academic All-State in three sports.  She is also a member of the National Honor Society and received the United States Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete Award.

Megan is the daughter of Janelle Stansberry of Fremont.

Doane College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). Doane is a four-year liberal arts college located in Crete, Nebraska, and offers 39 areas of study along with seven pre-professional programs.
