Doane and Nebraska Wesleyan hooked up for the second time this year in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.  Doane evened up the series at a game a piece with a 12-7 victory over the Prairie Wolves.  The two teams will hook up in conference play on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM.

Nebraska Wesleyan struck first, scoring twice in the first inning, but Doane rallied with four runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Doane opened up the game in the second inning behind a three-run home run off the bat of Chris Williams.  Doane would go on to score at least one run in each of the first five innings.

The Tiger 1-2-3 hitters combined to go 8-for-14 with six runs and six RBIs in the game.  In the end, Doane finished with 14 hits and left 10 runners on base.  Nebraska Wesleyan also had opportunities for more runs as they stranded 13 runners on base.

Kyle Schachenmeyer picked up his second win of the season.  He allowed three earned runs over 5.1 innings of work.  Bryan Dutcher and Chris Plourde closed out the game for Doane.
